If you want to generate some extra cash, a great way to do this is to think of one idea or project that can add a significant income stream to your business. Here are 3 ideas to help you:

1. Create a related add-on service on a subject your clients have a problem with

Whenever we have worked with clients and we have helped solve a particular problem, there will often be a new problem or a different related area that we can help them with.  You can then talk to your current and past clients about this second related service that you offer.

I’ll give you an example as this is usually helpful so you can see how this might work in practice.  So in my business I help clients to create their marketing plan and an additional service I offer is ‘How to Get Clients by Speaking’ which is a specific VIP day on how to create a presentation that gets business.

2. Ask a colleague or friend who has a similar target audience to promote you to their list in exchange for doing the same for them.

You can do this in many different ways from live and virtual events through to emails and newsletters.  It’s always a good idea to offer to help your partner first by offering to promote them to your people.  This helps build trust and displays generosity.

This strategy works best when your offer complements theirs and doesn’t compete so that customers or clients are very clear what to buy from whom.

3. Create and offer a high end programme

This strategy is one of my favourites for adding a significant income stream to your business.  One way to think about it is as your “Rolls Royce” programme.  In other words it is your top-level service which clients will pay a higher fee to receive.
